Tarryn Haslam
Tarryn Haslam is PATH’s Director of the Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases program, leading an interdisciplinary global team to advance the organization’s malaria control and elimination work and the expansion of the neglected tropical diseases portfolio by increasing collaboration across a network of projects and geographies.
Tarryn also oversees PATH’s epidemic preparedness and response portfolio focused on supporting countries and communities in strengthening health systems to better prevent, detect, and respond to disease outbreaks.
Tarryn has over 17 years of experience in technical implementation, business development, and financial oversight of public health interventions, with a strong program management background in multiple health areas, including malaria, HIV, child survival, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. She has extensive donor experience with organizations such as the US Agency for International Development; the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Unitaid; the US President’s Malaria Initiative; the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office; and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Prior to joining PATH, Tarryn served as the Director of Malaria and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) at Population Services International (PSI), where she was responsible for technical and operational implementation of malaria and WASH portfolios, designing and implementing large-scale health programs, providing technical assistance to national governments, and developing and managing partnerships with key stakeholders.
Tarryn holds a Master of Arts in Environment and Development from King’s College London (University of London) and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Geography, Environment, and Development from Durham University.
