Sabrina Powers
Sabrina Powers, as our General Counsel and Chief of Legal and Research Affairs, provides strategic leadership of the Legal Affairs division and the Office of Research Affairs, which support PATH’s public health projects worldwide. In this capacity, Sabrina oversees a broad range of legal and research-related matters, advising the executive leadership team and board on governance and compliance matters to ensure sound stewardship of PATH’s resources for global public health, focusing on efficient and effective collaborations with PATH’s program teams to achieve health equity through strong partnership and innovative products and systems, and enabling ethically and scientifically sound research.
Sabrina first joined PATH in 2015 and was responsible for providing legal support to a diverse portfolio of global health programs as well as drug development for which she led the legal negotiations for PATH’s first innovative financing transaction to fund global health product development through private investment. Prior to joining PATH, Sabrina was legal counsel for commercial transactions and business and product development at Microsoft and VMware. She also oversaw the transactional team for the Global Health Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition, Sabrina held leadership roles on the Board of Directors for the Committee for Children.
Sabrina is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University.
