Nelly Muindi
Nelly Muindi is the Director of Human Resources, Africa Region, for PATH. She oversees HR functions and strategy in the Africa Region by working in close collaboration with the HR leads in the region to ensure alignment on talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, global mobility, compliance, learning, development, and organizational design. Her team is responsible for creating a culture of open and honest communication and making PATH more diverse, equitable, and inclusive in the region.
Ms. Muindi has over a decade of experience in human resource management, with a deep commitment to strengthening employee experience and organizational culture. She joined PATH in 2019 and served as the HR Business Partner for Eastern Africa before being appointed as Director of HR for the Africa Region in April 2022. Previously, she worked in various capacities in different regions across Africa and Europe supporting HR functions of both nonprofit and intergovernmental organizations. Between 2016 and 2019, she served as HR Manager for LWF World Service, Kenya, Djibouti, and Somalia. In this role, she successfully implemented an HR management system; developed a robust talent pipeline; fostered staff engagement in diversity, equity and inclusion; established a health, safety, and wellness framework and culture; and increased employee development efforts, which in turn increased opportunities for employee mobility within the organization.
Ms. Muindi received her Master of Business Administration from Strathmore University Business School in Nairobi, Kenya, and her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the United States International University. She is a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management and is a Certified Professional Coach at CDI-Africa Coaching Group.
