Using mHealth to Self-Screen and Promote Tuberculosis Awareness in Tanzania

Through the USAID-funded Challenge TB project, PATH partnered with Tanzania’s National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme to develop a mobile application that allows people to self-screen for TB using a basic mobile phone to increase knowledge and awareness. This technical brief describes PATH’s strategic approach to collaborating with partners to develop the mobile health application, implementation, results and best practices.
