But the COVID-19 pandemic has been a wake-up call, revealing decades of global inequities in access to oxygen. As COVID-19 cases surge in many countries, devastating oxygen shortages are leading to countless preventable deaths.
PATH teams across Africa and Asia are working around the clock to support local partners and help get oxygen to those who need it most. We’re also working with governments to develop the long-term, sustainable oxygen access that is so desperately needed both during the pandemic and beyond. Building on decades of experience, PATH is working hard to shorten the COVID-19 pandemic from multiple angles, including increasing access to vaccinations and diagnostic testing, and helping governments worldwide trace and respond to outbreaks.
