Accelerating accountability to improve maternal, newborn, and adolescent health in Uganda

Since 2015, PATH has supported the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Uganda to develop and implement policies to help advance the health of women and children, including a five-year Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Sharpened Plan, which guided programming from 2016 to 2020.

The plan expired as Uganda was recovering from the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. PATH advocates jumped in to support the MOH in updating the plan and ensuring it reflected the changing health environment, and included a strong investment case to accelerate progress toward achievement of RMNCAH targets and universal health coverage.
