PATH named a 2007 Tech Museum Awards Laureate by The Tech Museum of Innovation

San Jose and Seattle, September 26, 2007—PATH has been named one of 25 innovators from around the world to be honored by this year’s The Tech Museum Awards: Technology Benefiting Humanity. Sponsored by The Tech Museum of Innovation, one of the country’s premier science and technology museums, and presented by Applied Materials, Inc., The Tech Museum Awards honor individuals and organizations that are applying technology to benefit humanity and spark global change.
PATH was selected as a Laureate from hundreds of nominations for our development and introduction of the vaccine vial monitor (VVM), a heat-sensitive label for vaccine vials to make sure children receive potent immunizations.
"The Tech Awards are an incredible honor, recognizing individuals and organizations whose ideas and execution of those ideas are changing the world,” said Dr. Christopher J. Elias, president of PATH. “We are proud to be among those recognized for their contributions, and will continue to develop solutions that improve the overall well being of people worldwide.”
In 2003, The Tech Museum named PATH winner in the health category for the Uniject™ device—a prefilled, single-use injection device that makes injections easy to give.
