At the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City, PATH will collaborate with global leaders, policymakers, experts and partners to tackle pressing health challenges and lay the foundations for a more equitable world.
From September 20th to September 27th, PATH representatives will convene with global leaders to advocate for advancements in AMR, women's health, gender equality, climate and health, digital and AI, and financing—all of which are pivotal for achieving efficient and equitable health systems worldwide.

INVESTMENTS IN DIGITAL PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE FOR HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES AND PROSPEROUS ECONOMIES

PATH and partners believe that Digital Public Infrastructure for Health (DPI-H) could act as a catalyst for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals. DPI-H is also an enabler of primary healthcare where it could help establish platforms for managing national health insurance, set up digital payments for health workers, prevent out of pocket payments for patients, and facilitate innovative insurance products to build resilience to climate impacts. This closed roundtable will include key stakeholders from governments, donors and implementers to explore practical opportunities for moving this agenda forward in the year ahead, including through the G20’s continuing work in this area. HOW TO GALVANIZE ACTION TO TRULY INTEGRATE NCDs INTO PRIMARY HEALTH CARE IN AFRICA

PATH and the Coalition for Access to NCD Medicines and Products are co-hosting a salon breakfast alongside the UN General Assembly to tackle tough questions around what it will take to truly drive prioritization of NCD integration and to share promising efforts that can be replicated. This high-level, off-the-record, moderated discussion will include 20-25 discussants representing a diverse group of stakeholders including LMIC government officials, bilateral and private donors, normative agencies, private sector, academia, and civil society. REIMAGINING PRIMARY HEALTH CARE WITH HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN

The Center for Indonesia's Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI), in collaboration with PATH, will convene health alliances to share insights and experiences on adopting human-centered design (HCD) in primary health care. Speakers will showcase real-world examples where patient-centered approaches have led to significant improvements in health outcomes at scale. We'll also discuss obstacles to the adoption of HCD. By openly discussing these challenges, together we can ensure that HCD is able to be scaled and sustained in a diverse context.
