PATH appoints Kammerle Schneider as the new Chief of Programs and Innovation

PATH is pleased to announce that Kammerle Schneider will be assuming the role of Chief of Programs & Innovation (P&I). In this role, Kamm will lead PATH’s largest division.

This division is made up of disease specialists, data engineers, visualization experts, methodologists, statisticians, storytellers, researchers, and technologists working shoulder-to-shoulder with their in-country colleagues to solve some of the most vexing global health challenges. This team strives to provide better, more affordable approaches and products that can be adapted and reinvented so more people can access a higher standard of care to treat and prevent life-threatening conditions, including HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.

Kamm will be responsible for developing and advancing strategic partnerships, overseeing operational, technical, and programmatic activities and objectives, supporting the professional development of the nearly 600-person global team, and ensuring alignment with the PATH 2025 strategy across the division’s 7 programs.

Kamm is a PATH veteran, currently leading the Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases program within P&I as well as the Center for Malaria Control and Elimination—one of PATH’s largest portfolios. She has almost 20 years of experience in global health, including managing policy at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative and as an assistant director of the Global Health Program at the Council on Foreign Relations, in addition to her nearly 12 years at PATH.

Kamm holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. Her role is effective in early March following outgoing Chief of P&I Jeff Bernson’s departure at the same time. Jeff has accepted a role outside of PATH.
