Subcutaneous DMPA (DMPA-SC, Sayana® Press) is a new, easy-to-use injectable contraceptive that is ideally suited for remote access and even self-injection. This brief provides an overview of PATH’s Self-Injection Best Practices project, which aims to evaluate and identify optimal program models for self-injection of DMPA-SC.
