Myo Myint Aung is PATH's country director for Myanmar, based in Yangon. He manages all operations and oversees the implementation of PATH’s projects in Myanmar.
Dr. Aung joined PATH in 2015 as a project director to lead the introduction of fortified rice in Myanmar. He is committed to improving the health of people in Myanmar from the ground up. His experience in the nonprofit sector includes design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and project management roles in maternal and child health, nutrition, food security, and livelihood programs.
Before joining PATH, Dr. Aung worked in the private sector and has international experience in hospital administration, management consulting, strategic planning, business development, and operational excellence. At Merlin and Mercy Corps, he led M&E units and advised partners on M&E framework development, design, and implementation of baselines, assessments, and evaluations.
Dr. Aung is a certified project management professional by Project Management Institute and holds an MBBS from the University of Medicine Magway, an entrepreneurial MBA from the Portland State University, and a MHA from the University of Washington. He enjoys playing football, reading and volunteering.
