Reduced Price on Rotavirus Vaccines: Enough to Facilitate Access Where Most Needed?

This article, published in the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, examines whether the reduced prices for rotavirus vaccine are affordable enough to facilitate access to the vaccine where it is most needed. The study points to the rotavirus vaccines as more expensive than most traditional Expanded Program on Immunization vaccines. The authors explore practical strategies, challenges, and policies for facilitating the introduction of rotavirus vaccine and sustained financing in low-income countries.
