Haemophilus influenzae type b Conjugate Vaccines - WHO Position Paper
Designed for use by national public health officials and immunization programme managers, this position paper provides a summary of essential background information on Hib disease and vaccines and outlines the current WHO position concerning the vaccines' use in a global context. The paper, published in Weekly Epidemiological Record, calls for the use of Hib vaccines in all infant immunization programs and states that the vaccine is the only public health tool capable of preventing the majority of cases of serious Hib disease.
