PATH to promote use of the TASC4 funding mechanism for small scale activities in Africa

October 23, 2014 by PATH

PATH awarded Technical Assistance and Support for the Africa Region (TASC4 — Africa) subcontract

PATH is partnering with Initiatives Inc., a public health consulting firm, on the newly awarded US Agency for International Development (USAID) TASC 4 — Africa small business Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract. Initiatives' consortium also includes RTI International and Save the Children.

TASC 4-Africa is available for use by USAID missions and bureaus worldwide.  It has a broad technical scope and is designed to help USAID achieve its strategic objectives related to the expansion of basic health services, family planning, health system strengthening, HIV and AIDS, and other infectious diseases.  The small business TASC 4 mechanism allows for rapid response to task orders and places Initiatives and its partners in a limited pool of organizations that are eligible to bid on opportunities.

Small business IDIQ task orders will give USAID missions flexibility to rapidly address their needs for targeted technical assistance, strategy papers, situation analyses, research, evaluations, and project bridging. We look forward to the opportunities this contract may bring.
