KIRO radio host Dave Ross interviews PATH staff as part of the 2007 Symetra Community Series

PATH staff recently had the opportunity to talk with local radio host Dave Ross about our role in improving the health of people around the world. Recorded as a podcast, their conversation can be downloaded online from the Symetra Community website.

Dr. Jacqueline Sherris, vice president of global programs, gave an overview of PATH’s work, including an introduction to a few of PATH’s technologies such as the clean-delivery kit and the Uniject™ device. Dr. Vivien Tsu, senior program officer in PATH’s reproductive health program, described how PATH is preparing the way for HPV vaccine introduction in four developing countries. Dr. Kent Campbell, director of PATH’s malaria control partnership in Africa offered a glimpse into Zambia’s efforts to combat the deadly disease of malaria.

The Symetra Community Series is a partnership among Symetra Financial, Newsradio 710 KIRO, and nonprofits in the Puget Sound area. Together, the partnership brings topics of significance to the Northwest community.
