Seattle, July 19, 2005—PATH has been selected by Amazon.com, from a field of nearly 1,000 organizations, as one of the ten most innovative nonprofits in the world. This award also gives the top organizations an opportunity to raise significant amounts of money through the Amazon.com website.

The Amazon.com Nonprofit Innovation Award is designed to recognize and reward nonprofits whose innovative approaches and breakthrough solutions most effectively improve their communities or the world at large. Amazon.com, in partnership with the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a panel of expert advisors, selected the ten finalists.

From now until September 30th, Amazon will host PATH and the other innovative nonprofits on its website. Visitors and shoppers on Amazon.com will be invited to donate to the organization of their choice. Donations of any amount can be made, up to $1,000, and the organization that collects the highest dollar amount in total contributions by September 30th will receive all of the donations and a matching grant of up to $1 million from Amazon.com.
