Our thoughts are with the people of Japan

The death toll caused by the 8.9-magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami that struck northeastern Japan on March 11 continues to rise. More than 350,000 have been left homeless. Radiation from nuclear meltdowns poses an additional threat to the survivors, most of whom are living without access to clean water, electricity, or a means of communication. Our thoughts are with the victims of this devastating disaster.
