PATH executive recognized for technology leadership

Erik Arnold, PATH’s chief information officer (CIO), has been honored by the Puget Sound Business Journal as 2012’s best CIO of a nonprofit or government agency.
More than 30 technology leaders in the Puget Sound region were nominated in various categories, including best CIOs for both private and public companies. The awards were presented December 13 at the inaugural 2012 CIO Awards at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
Modernizing PATH’s technical infrastructure through innovation
Arnold was recognized for his strategic and innovative approach to improving PATH’s information and communications infrastructure, as well as for his active involvement in the local and national technology community.
Arnold has more than 15 years of experience in information technology leadership, project management, and systems integration. He is responsible for PATH’s global information systems, including library services, records management, software development, and the global network and computer services teams.
Since he joined PATH as CIO in 2009, Arnold is credited with modernizing the organization’s technical infrastructure, leading development of a standardized infrastructure architecture across PATH’s offices worldwide, helping to secure millions of dollars in donations and in-kind contributions, and implementing information technology to facilitate data collection, monitoring, and reporting activities.
Prior to joining PATH, Arnold was vice president of technology at Corbis, an e-commerce company that handles digital media.
